What makes aseptic processing and packaging more attractive than any other food processing technology? We hear these questions every day from executive level management and/or marketing colleagues who are not as close to the technology. According to Ferhan Ozadali, Ph.D., Director of Global R&D and Global Process Authority for Mead Johnson Nutrition, who
will speak at the upcoming Aseptipak USA 2017 conference, “The sky is the limit with this discipline.”
Aseptipak USA 2017, The Global Forum on Aseptic/ESL Processing, Filling & Packaging, will take place June 20-21 at the Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca, Illinois.
Dr. Ozadali refers to aseptic processing and packaging as a “discipline” because there are numerous technologies and applications that have helped brand owners offer lower cost, higher quality, safer and more convenient products for their customers. This is certainly beyond a simple technology development. The aseptic discipline is “heaven” for product and process developers, with a virtually unlimited number of ideas to be implemented. Throughout the years, in spite of regulatory hurdles and the industry’s justifiable conservatism, the aseptic discipline has become a home for numerous great innovations.
Dr. Ozadali’s presentation, “Overview of Cutting-Edge Innovative Technology Implementations in Aseptic Processing and Packaging” is part of the session on Cost Reduction & Processing Innovations. It will provide an overview of selected cutting-edge technologies that have been attempted with promising results or have already been adapted fully in aseptic systems.
Technology options and implementations, a variety of applications, global regulatory hurdles, safety and effectiveness, risks, and competitive advantages will be discussed. This exciting presentation will set the stage for the other speakers during this and future Aseptipak conferences.
Aseptipak USA 2017 is the only global forum devoted to exclusively aseptic technology developments and markets for the food and beverage industry. The conference offers unparalleled networking opportunities with leading industry food and beverage producers and suppliers not available anywhere else.
During the conference there will be a table top exhibition featuring 25 leading global aseptic suppliers. A limited number of exhibit tables are still available. Contact the organizer Gary Schotland at firstname.lastname@example.org or +1.908.507.2708 for information.
Prior to the conference an optional course titled “Aseptic Processing of Fluid & Particulate Foods”, taught by Prof. K.P. Sandeep, PhD, of North Carolina State University, will be offered.
Immediately following the conference on the afternoon of June 21, participants can take a FREE tour of TRU Aseptics’ new, state of the art, aseptic processing and packaging facility in nearby Beloit, Wisconsin. Transportation to/from the host hotel will be provided at no cost.
